Children's Classes
For our young children it's a time of nurturing to excite an
interest in the stories of the bible and the teachings of
Jesus. Three classes are divided by age group to meet
different levels of learning and interests. Our youngest
class is for preschool and kindergarten. Children ages 3
and 4 are welcome to attend as they become ready for a more
structured classroom experience. The other two classes are
for Grades 1 through 3, and for Grades 4 and 5. The age
groupings may vary somewhat from year to year depending upon the
number attending.
The children's classes use a workshop rotation model.
Classes use the same Bible story for six weeks. Each week
the theme of that story is presented a different way through the
children's participation in workshops. The workshops
include art, science, music, storytelling, games, and cooking.
Children's Sunday school brings the children together in an
opening session after which they divide into classes. We
have teaching shepherds for each age group who are here each week
and get to know the children.
