Our Christians in Action afterschool program also relies on adult volunteers.  CIA has blossomed into a discipleship of enthusiastic middle school and high school youth who have their own outreach ministry to learn more about CIA, click on Youth In Action.


The Lumberjacks

You may not have heard of the Lumberjacks, but there's plenty of action for volunteers here.  This crew is our wood cutting ministry which has met the heating needs of many families in our community.  There's a work party almost every Saturday to collect, split, and deliver wood to those who otherwise may be without heat.  Working with country social services, the Lumberjacks provide more that 60 loads of wood to folks in the surrounding area.

Polar Bear Plunge

Here's an outreach ministry where you've got to be a good sport.  Who in their right mind would jump into the lake in the dead of winter?  Apparently quite a few folks from the Wright's Chapel congregation--in crazy costumes no less.  But it's for a good cause.  All the money raised to egg on and support your favorite polar bear is used to help our neighbors who need help meeting their heating bills.
