 Connie Devenport

My name is Connie Devenport.  My husband and I have a daughter who will graduate high school in 2009 and a son in elementary school.  We moved here from Southern California (for our last duty station) and started attending Wright's Chapel in January of 2004.  I became a member that following February and started working for Wright's Chapel the following September, when I started the church Preschool.  In February of 2005 I started working as the part time custodian, and in January of 2007 I moved from preschool teacher to church secretary.

During my 22 years of marriage to a Navy Seabee I have learned many jobs as we moved from place to place every few years.  I have worked with many different kinds of people from different cultures and backgrounds.  I appreciate the different things you can learn from people.  Being the secretary allows me to keep interacting with people and serving them (servant of the Lord).

While working at Wright's Chapel it is important to me to help the church and the congregation by serving them in any way that I can, using the talents and experiences that the Lord has given me.  I have especially enjoyed using and teaching sign language at the church.  I learned sign from a neighbor when I was in elementary school and have been so happy to share that gift with many people in Wright's Chapel.
